Doorway Project

Doorways represent change, marking when people enter or leave spaces. They lead to new experiences, filled with both worry and hope, and showing unseen possibilities.
This project began in 2018 when I moved to San Francisco. While exploring the city’s neighborhoods, I started taking photos with my iPhone—capturing random objects found, like an abandoned mattress, a lost toy, and a crowded doorway. This led to a focus on doorways, revealing how they reflect the character of the individual and the neighborhood. These images were shared on Instagram, generating interest in a book.
This exhibition is part of the larger effort to create the book, Doorway Project: San Francisco, shining a light on the unknown or little-known parts of the City.
